general rules

1. A coin toss will be conducted at the beginning of the game.

The winner will have the following options: (1) offense or (2) defense.

2. Offense – (5 players) Only one player can be in motion prior to the snap of the ball.

The ball will be placed on the 10 yard line at the start of the game, after a score, and at the beginning of the second half. There will be no kickoffs or special teams.

No-run zones are in place to prevent teams from conducting power run plays.

While in the No-Run Zones (a 5 yard imaginary zone before midfield and before the end zone), teams cannot run the ball in any fashion. All plays must be pass plays(except 6u division), even with a handoff.

**6u Division is permitted to run anywhere on the field and does not have to pass.

The offense has four plays to cross midfield for a first down.

If a team reaches 4th down, they will have an option to go for the attempt or walk off the ball 20 yards from the spot of the ball. If a 4th down attempt does not cross the 1st down mark, the ball changes possession and is placed where the 4th down stop occurred.

After a team reaches the end zone, they will get one play to get an extra point starting on the 2

yard line. This must be a passing play. This play will be un-timed.

The snap must be directly from under the center, or a shotgun snap may be performed.

All center snaps must be made between the center’s legs.

No score will be kept; therefore there will be no overtime.

No stiff arming or shielding of the flag is permitted.

If this violation occurs the play will be ruled dead at the spot of the violation.

The play clock will be 40 seconds per play.

There will be no down field blocking allowed.

A player is ruled down when either his flag is pulled or a knee touches the ground.

If a player's flag falls while untouched, a two hand touch will rule the player down.

The offense must still have at least 1 center and 1 quarterback at the line of scrimmage

3. Defense – Only one player can rush the passer and they must be a minimum of seven yards from the line of scrimmage when the ball is snapped.

Players not rushing the quarterback may defend on the line of scrimmage.

Once the ball leaves the quarterback's hands, the rusher may attack the ball-carrier.

No tackling

No pulling or grabbing of the shirt is allowed.

4. Fumbles – All fumbles will be ruled dead at the spot where they occur.

The only exception is if a fumble occurs between the center and quarterback during the snap, then it will remain a live ball and play will continue (traditional snap or shotgun).

Practice – Practices will be held at RES, WMHS or BRS

Games – Games will be held on Sunday afternoons

Officiating – Officials will be provided for games.

Inclement Weather – In the case of inclement weather,
